Snow was predicted for Tuesday for the Chicago area. The prediction was accurate. So accurate that it was snowing at 3 a.m. Wednesday, as this is being finely crafted typed. While some folks were stuck in traffic made worse by the winter weather, others were shoveling or using snow blowers. And some of us — OK, more like one of us (as in your humble correspondent) — spent part of the day interviewing the March 2013 Playboy Playmate in San Diego.
Connecticut native Ashley Doris is Playboy’s March 2013 Playmate and will be a guest on the Feb. 28 “Sports & Torts” show.
Well, Ashley Doris — the newest Playmate — was in San Diego. I happened to be in the Talkzone.com studio in Morton Grove, Ill. She was on Skype, so we weren’t quite sitting down together for a conversation that will be part of the Feb. 28 “Sports & Torts” show. The program is to air Thursday at noon Chicago time on talkzone.com. Missing from the chat was co-host David Spada, who had obligations elsewhere (and, no, it is not believed he was building a snowman outside a courthouse as part of his legal practice).
Where were we? Ah, yes. Talking with the 23-year-old Ashley, the first Playmate from Connecticut. She was delightful. And if you don’t believe me (and even if you do), might I suggest you check out the program that also will include an interview with Pro Football Hall of Famer Randall McDaniel.
Among the knowledge you will gain by tuning in is finding out what the state flower of Connecticut is. Well, unless you already knew what the state flower of Connecticut is. The show will be available by podcast later Thursday on talkzone.com.
Because of the snow, I decided to pass on being at the Chicago Bulls game against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, who played without standout guard Kyrie Irving. Not that the lowly Cavs needed him. They prevailed 101-98 to end an 11-game losing streak to the Bulls.
Sometimes the best decisions a person can make is what not to do.
If the choice was Skyping with Ashley or watching the Bulls in person against Cleveland, it’s no contest.

As long as we’re going to have to deal with the snow around here, we might as well have some non-gratuitous bikini video. Bikini videos by their very nature being non-gratuitous — at least from this vantage point;
