When he was last seen at a baseball game in Chicago, Windell Middlebrooks, the Miller High Life guy, was at a Wrigleyville rooftop for a July 4 Cubs game. He is scheduled to make an encore appearance in town, this time at a White Sox contest. His return will come on another date of American significance, Sept. 11.
He will be participating in High Life’s “Give a Veteran a Piece of the High Life” program. High Life will be hosting about 200 military veterans and their families at the Sox game against the Cleveland Indians. A member of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America will toss out the ceremonial first pitch.

Not only are there drink specials on Sunday game days, the establishment has bargains for fans with Bears ticket stubs after the game. For those concerned about drinking and driving (and even for those who are not), O’Donovan’s has a bus to and from Soldier Field starting about 90 minutes before kickoff. Cost is $10 round trip, and that price includes beverages on the bus.
