Bulls’ Fate vs. a No. 8 May Be History

May 7, 2012 @ No Comments

Monday meanderings: The Chicago Bulls have picked a bad time for their first three-game losing streak of the season. Mainly because it’s the postseason, and those defeats have come in their first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. The latest was Sunday (May 6) in Philly 89-82 to leave the No. 1 seed Bulls on the cusp of elimination. Only three other No. 8 seeds have won a first-round series vs. a No. 1: Memphis vs. San Antonio (2011), Golden State vs. Dallas (2007), New York vs. Miami (1999) and Denver vs. Seattle(1994). Not exactly the history the Bulls were looking to make.

Rest assured that Lisa and her fellow Luvabulls dance team members will be on hand for Game 5 Tuesday at the United Center vs. the 76ers.

* “I’m just worried about the next game,” Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. “We do have more than enough to win with.” The major obstacle would seem not having more than enough next games. Or Thibodeau not having a firm grip on reality.

* Now that Adam Dunn apparently has rediscovered his home-run stroke (he hit his ninth of the season in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to the Tigers at Detroit), somebody might want to figure a way for him to do so with runners on base. Dunn had 11 homers in 2011. Just guessing he will surpass that number this season — before Mother’s Day.

* Speaking of home runs, Dunn and teammate Paul Konerko have combined for 15 this season. The Chicago Cubs have totaled 15. Just guessing the Cubs will surpass the Sox duo before the Bulls season ends.

* Still speaking of home runs, Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols hit his first American League homer Sunday in his 28th game with the Angels and after 111 at-bats. Just guessing it won’t take another 111 at-bats for his next homer.

As time appears to be running out on the Bulls season, the editorial staff at elliottharris.com feels compelled to continue running video of members of the Luvabulls dance team. Doing so also is intended to help ease Bulls fans’ pain. To view video of Luvabulls veteran Lisa, you can click here.

There always room for some Lingerie Football League video — especially when it is from the LFL’s all-fantasy game in Mexico City:
