C2E2 Offers Wonderful Time (With Wonder Woman)

Because the Chicago Bulls have a playoff game at 1 p.m. Saturday, the plan was to finish up this effort at creativity typing finished at a reasonable hour. This was going to be mostly about C2E2 — otherwise known at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo — at McCormick Place, post some photos and video and go to sleep early.

The best way to describe spending time with Wonder Woman? Wonderful.

Good plan. In that it is after 4 a.m. at the moment this is being crafted typed, the execution just might leave a little room for improvement. OK, a lot of room for improvement.

The Bulls have a chance to take a 3-1 lead over the Brooklyn Nets with a victory Saturday. Because of that Eastern Conference first-round series, your humble correspondent will be at the United Center to provide coverage of that rather than of Saturday’s C2E2 activities.

If things go according to plan (and occasionally they do around here), I will return to C2E2 for Sunday’s fun. Which means next week should feature more photos and videos from C2E2. And to show that there is at least some planning at elliottharris.com. there is leftover video and photos from attending C2E2 Friday to use next week.

As always at events such as C2E2, part of the fun is seeing folks dressed up in costumes — and sometimes even undressed up in outfits.

An interview with Wonder Woman:

Lisa Marie Varon (a favorite around here in case you don’t remember) was part of a panel discussion at C2E2: “Super Fitness: Inside Every Geek Is a Hero.” The session was informative and entertaing. It talked about a fitness program called ProCycle 12 by Joey Thurman and Marcus Waren, among other topics. Lisa Marie also is known as Tara in TNA Wrestling, which also is known as Impact Wrestling.
