There is halftime entertainment, and then there is halftime entertainment. And so it was at the Windy City Rollers roller derby contest Sept. 10 at the University of Illinois-Chicago Pavilion. A young woman in a leotard came onto the floor. She had several hoops (Hula Hoops, for those who remember when they were the hot invention decades ago).
Dizzy Lizzy was an entertaining halftime performer.
The young woman was introduced as Dizzy Lizzy. She didn’t appear to be dizzy. She was quite accomplished at her craft of hooping things up. And her official name is Dizzy Dizzy Delicious. Hoops apparently are merely part of her act.
