If it’s Friday, it’s time for football. Now to some folks that means high school games. Or possibly a college contest or two. To some of us, however, that means: Are you ready for some Lingerie League Football?
The answer, of course, is of course. While teams such as the LFL’s Chicago Bliss play a limited schedule (four games is the bare minimum or maximum, any way you look at it, for the regular season), some LFL talent is occupied with game action on a weekly basis.
Two such parties are members of the LFL broadcast crew for the Friday night games featured on MTV2: play-by-play man Tom Dore and sideline reporter Lauren Gardner. Both bring impressive credentials to the telecast. Dore is the former longtime TV talent on Chicago Bulls broadcasts. Gardner is a Denver-based TV talent with substantial sports assignments to her credit.
The LFL’s Internet site at LFLUS.com states: Las Vegas’ leading oddsmaker Jason Rood of MGM Resorts International has released the official weekly betting line for this week’s Friday night match-up between the Baltimore Charm and Cleveland Crush. MGM has agreed to release similar betting lines each week there is LFL football this season.
Who knew the LFL had reached the pinnacle of legitimacy: a betting line in Vegas? Baltimore is a 6.5-point favorite. The game has a 46.5-point over/under.
For those more interested in the aesthetic beauty of the athletic competition, Dore and Gardner provide a solid 1-2 combo to convey the action on the field.
As they say on the highlight shows, let’s go to the video (ladies first, if you don’t mind — and even if you do — with Lauren having the honors):
