Being a videographer and/or photographer is not all that easy. Anyone with a camera (or even a cell phone that takes pictures) can call himself/herself a photographer. Same goes for video.
Your humble correspondent claims to be neither a photographer nor a videographer. Proof of that lies with the accompanying videos and photos that are part of today’s effort. Even so, they might be worth a look for those who care to see what some of the action from the NABBA USA event that was held Sept. 24, 2011, at Bolingbrook High (suburban Chicago).
Featured is Lariyah Daniels, who was participating in her second bikini competition. She won two trophies and took home a medal, too. You may recall lovely Lariyah from previous posts at this site. She has been featured on a Chevy television commercial that aired during NFL games. She also sings with Hessler and can be found in a funny commercial for Pepsi on YouTube. She also will be competing in the Oct. 1 Fitness America event at Harper College in Palatine, Ill.
As part of the never-ending pursuit of the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service (or its cyberspace equivalent), yours truly plans to chronicle the event that has bikini, figure or other competitions as its program. It is what some of us call work (or at the very least a reasonable facsimile thereof).
Meaning if things go right, you will be seeing more of Lariyah and possibly others next week. In that Lariyah has a musical engagement with Hessler on Sept. 30 (Friday night), it will be interesting to see how quickly she will be able to recover in a matter of hours from that stage to the world of parading in heels and bikini.
Time to show some photos and video from the NABBA event. Please excuse any lack of professional quality. It’s the thought (and not necessarily the visual results) that counts.
