I was going to write about how anything rarely — if ever — is original. But then I figured others already have.
* Speaking of originality, does anyone really want Kyle Orton back as the Chicago Bears quarterback? Just what the Bears need, a guy who couldn’t beat out a quarterback (Tim Tebow) who can’t pass NFL passing standards

* Speaking of Bears quarterbacks, good to see Jay Cutler sending out a message Tuesday on behalf of reality television personality Kristin Cavallari for the season finale of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” She was booted off the show several weeks ago, but all the contestants reunite for the last show of the season. If nothing else, the program provided Cutler with a chance to work on his cheerleading, which is pretty much the role he will be in for several weeks because of a fractured thumb on his right hand.
* Speaking of Cavallari, she tweeted Tuesday night: Had a blast dancing tonight now on my way to be nurse kristin for @JayCutler6 
And does anyone in his/her right mind really care whether she and Cutler are engaged? Well, unless Kris Jenner is going to market their wedding.
* Speaking of Kim Kardashian’s mother and former Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner’s wife … on second thought, let’s not.
* Major League Baseball can get a labor deal done without the drama of the NFL or NBA? I take back everything unkind that I might have said about commissioner Bud Selig. OK, not everything. Not giving World Series homefield advantage to the league winning the All-Star Game. Not expanding wild cards that will serve to diminish the regular season. Not … Still, labor accord for MLB before the NBA can reach any is a grand slam against pro basketball.

Too much of a good thing? Well, in anticipation of Thanksgiving, you might think pumpkin pie, stuffing, turkey, etc. The editorial staff at elliottharris,com prefers to focus on good friend April Rose. And everyone knows there’s no such thing as too much of her.
She is everywhere going from coast to coast and thankfully returning to her Chicago roots. Well, thankfully for those of us who call Chicago home. For those who don’t (and for those who do), you can find April as part of MTV2’s “The Guy Code” (hint: she’s not one of the guys). She also is part of Maxim’s Web feature “Maximum Exposure.”
