2011 NFL Playoffs Far From Sure Thing

Welcome to the Tuesday Afternoon Quarterback. Not much different from your basic Monday Morning Quarterback — give or take a day and a few hours.
Rather than devote space (not to mention valuable time) to second-guessing the events of an NFL weekend, this space will try to find other entertaining entries to provide. In that the NFL does not start its season until Thursday evening, here are some numbers that may mean something to someone. Most likely something to someone who likes to bet when it comes to the NFL. And who doesn’t? Betting is a part of the popularity of America’s favorite sport. Betting also is part of the popularity of fantasy sports. A participant bets he is smarter and chooses better players than his opponents. The reward generally is more financial than it is ego-stroking. Take the money out of fantasy football and you’ll see the demise of that diversion.
