Today is one of those rare days when the photos and videos overwhelm the creative thought typing that goes into providing text for reader enjoyment. OK, so the photos and pictures overwhelm the text on a regular basis. On today, however, there may be a reason. Less text than usual. At least that’s the plan.
Today is December 25. Which, the research department at ElliottHarris.com has learned, is Christmas. Meaning it’s a great time for families to gather together. Or not. A time of great joy. Or not.
And a great time to take the day off. Or not.
Around here we don’t know the meaning of taking a day off. Of course, we don’t know the meaning of a lot of other stuff, too, but anyone who frequents this site probably already knows that.
There is some sports on television, which helps make some family gatherings more enjoyable. Not that you necessarily have to huddle around a TV set; it’s merely an option for some folks.
And a reminder from the staff psychiatrist at ElliottHarris.com: You can’t have dysfunctional without f-u-n! And no matter how dysfunctional your family may seem (we’re not saying that it isn’t), there are far worse cases of dysfunction roaming around the neighborhood. The next non-dysfunctional family that you encounter will be the first recorded one in captivity.
Everyone is nuts in one way or another. If that’s any consolation — and the guess here is that it actually might be.
Anyway, where were we? Oh, yeah. December 25.
OK, so it’s an outstanding reason to run Christmas music videos and photos of females in holiday attire. Or not — as in not in holiday attire. If some folks out there in the audience find any of the material not to their liking, then may I suggest they not look at it. Seems like a simple solution to me. But then again, I’m a simple guy.
One more thing before we go to photo and video. A reminder for those last-minute shoppers — or anyone really: The 2013 JayTheJoke Holiday Cookbook is still available for Christmas delivery. The latest installment from Bill McCormick — the man who runs the jaythejoke.com web site and edits the cookbook (and, in full disclosure, is a friend), among other talents — has an abundance of appetizing recipes. There are even contributions from your humble correspondent, as well as from people who actually can cook. This year’s edition features some new recipes along with the classics from years past. The price is reasonable enough — unless you think free is too expensive. You can download by clicking here. The photo above all this is of one of Bill’s friends, Deanna Deadly. She is a fetish and pin-up model, as well as a DJ and other employable talents. Bill used this photo on his site Tuesday, and I thought it was great. Deanna wanted to make sure the credit for her photo was given to www.facebook.com/modeldeannadeadly. So, OK. You might want to check out her page. But if you plan to download the cookbook, do that first. Otherwise you might end up distracted and totally forget about any culinary concoctions.
Anyway, happy holidays, merry Christmas, wonderful Wednesday or whatever (if anything) you might be celebrating. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to all. And we can only hope it might be for more than one day in December.
For those up early enough, the Chicago Bulls play a road game Christmas afternoon against the Brooklyn Nets. Which means the Luvabulls will not be performing. On the bright side, we do have their holiday message:
But wait; there’s more. Hoping you enjoy the following material as much as (if not more than) anything else you might be doing today:
