Decisions, decisions. Such was the case Saturday (July 14). Stay at home and watch the Chicago White Sox play at Kansas City or go out to Exxxotica Chicago 2012 at the Stephens Center in Rosemont, Ill. Jake Peavy was pitching for the Sox, so surely this would be an easy victory (as if any of that even entered into the decision-making process).
Yes, some decisions are harder than others. This merely happened not to be one of those. Hello, Exxxotica. If nothing else, I did get more exercise than I would have sitting on the couch. Wandering up and down the aisles of the adult-entertainment expo must have burned off a few calories (again, as if any of that was part of the process for which activity to witness).
And, as fate — or at least the folks who put together the Exxxotica activities — would have it, there was something akin to sports. And barely with more skin than one might normally expect. A wrestling match of sorts between Alexis Texas and Tanya Tate was one of the evening’s highlights. As fate — or at least a functioning video recorder — would have it, the historic-preservation department at elliottharris.com was able to chronicle most of the event.
For those of you who might think this space today would deal with the possibility of a Matt Forte deal with the Chicago Bears or another strong scoreless outing from Ryan Dempster for the Chicago Cubs or anything else on the sports landscape, sorry to disappoint.
Instead today’s effort will be about Exxxotica. We were unable to video everyone whom we had hoped to. The aforementioned Alexis Texas and Tanya Tate never did have a convenient time to chat with your humble correspondent. Hopefully, the video of the two more than compensates. Allie Haze could do video, and an audio with her just didn’t seem fair to her or to her fans who might be hoping for a glimpse of her. Stormy Daniels, who appeared on this site a few months ago, was willing but the noise from the main stage was too loud. We were going to try to get together for an interview when the noise subsided, but that didn’t happen. And there were a few other cases that didn’t come off as fantasized planned.
What we were able to accomplish was quality time with Sara Jay, Taylor Wane, Ann Marie Rios, Raylene and Caramel Vixen. Plus some general scene-setting shots. All of which means we will be using those — plus the ones from Friday — for the next few weeks around here.
They will not necessarily be the primary focus on other days. Exxxotica will be today. So here we go; hope you enjoy the show:
