Because of computer difficulties (well, that sounds a lot better than my inability to figure out what the problem is and actually being able to fix it), today’s effort might be lacking in creative input (yes, more than usual — a concept some folks might find difficult to fathom).
Thankfully, the fine folks at Bovada, (www.Bovada.lv, Twitter: @BovadaLV) have provided some odds regarding the NFL. Purely for entertainment purposes (although the ethics department around here likes to think if someone out there makes a wager based on these odds and wins a ton of money after reading the numbers here, that person — or persons — would make some sort of contribution to the fiscal development fund at ElliottHarris.com (OK, I realize the odds of that happening are almost as bad as the odds of the Chicago Bears winning Super Bowl XLVIII, but we do like to maintain a certain sense of optimism around here).
If things go according to plan (and occasionally they do around here), there will be more odds in Saturday’s edition of whatever this is:

The first new “Sports & Torts” show for 2014 is in the books. Or the archives. Or the storage vault. Or wherever the fine folks at Talkzone.com put the program podcasts after they originally air. OK, so they end up in cyberspace. Which coincidentally is probably where you are reading this. So there is an excellent chance you could access the highly acclaimed interview show co-hosted by David Spada and Elliott Harris on Thursdays at noon Central time on the aforementioned Talkzone.com (editor’s note: “Sports & Torts” is highly acclaimed in the Spada and Harris households and — based on unsubstantiated but highly credible reports — elsewhere.
The guests on the January 9 show (there was no January 2 edition because of the New Year’s celebration, etc.) were former football standout, coach and athletic director Bump Elliott and “The Biggest Loser” Season 14 winner Danni Allen, who recently opened one2one — a yoga and fitness studio — in Evanston, Ill.
Both were great guests. For those who missed the initial offering and/or those who would like to partake of an encore, you may link to the podcast by clicking here.
