Bears May Have Company in 700 (Victories) Club

Sunday smorgasbord: The best part of the Chicago Bears being on “Monday Night Football” against the New York Jets means Sunday is free for all those household chores and other endeavors you might have been putting off. The worst part of the Bears being on MNF is spending much of Monday wondering how it was possible to accomplish so little on Sunday (or so it likely will be for some of us).

* As if Bears fans don’t have enough reason to root against the Green Bay Packers, consider this (courtesy of the NFL’s media relations folks): With a victory on Sunday at Detroit, the Packers will become the second team in NFL history with 700 regular-season victories. The Packers (699-538-37) would join the Bears (731-535-42) as the only teams to reach 700.
