Jennifer England is coming to town. For some of us, that’s even better than hearing similar news regarding Santa Claus. Then again, some of us have a warmer feeling regarding the St. Pauli Girl than some guy in a red suit.
Yes, Jennifer is the 2011 St. Pauli Girl, as has been noted previously in the space. It’s part of the celebration of Oktoberfest. So what if that holiday is over. Jennifer will be representing the No. 2 German beer in the United States and signing copies of her St. Pauli Girl poster.
Even better (well, for some of us who co-host a program called “Sports & Torts” at noon on Thursdays at www.talkzone.com), the beautiful blond will be a guest on the Oct. 13 show. About the only way that life could be better (for some of us, if not Jennifer) would be to have her as an in-studio guest.
To make up for that slight deficiency, your humble correspondent plans to enjoy meeting Jennifer in person at her Tilted Kilt appearance at 5 p.m. at the establishment in downtown Chicago at 17 N. Wabash. She (and yours truly) will be judging a St. Pauli Girl costume contest (what some of us call work — if we’re lucky; OK, if we’re really, really lucky).
Jennifer emerged as the successor to Katarin Van Derham to become the 2011 spokesmodel by being chosen over hundreds of other beauties.
Among her credits, Jennifer is an actress, model and stunt woman. She was runner-up in the 2006 WWE Diva Search and also was one of Barker’s Beauties on “The Price Is Right.”
In Chicago, she will meet with fans — of the beer and/or her — and sign autographs of her St. Pauli Girl poster.
