And so the 2012 Arnold Sports Festival and Expo ended Sunday (March 4). It was fun. It was work (sometimes it can be extremely difficult to tell the difference). And it certainly was exhausting. But it definitely was an eventful day.
POsing with fitness guru Jamie Eason is my idea of work.
The only bad part was the drive back to Chicago from Columbus, Ohio. Actually the drive was going quite smoothly — not to mention speedily — until encountering snowy conditions in Indiana. Apparently, they are not particularly well-equipped to handle snow on the Indiana portion of the interstate highway system — either from a driving perspective or a snow-clearing one. The combination made for a couple of spinouts by various vehicles and slow going for those of us who were capable of driving in such conditions.
It was interesting to note that once past the Illinois border, the roads were in much better shape.
Speaking of being in much better shape, one of the Arnold hightlights Sunday was catching up with Jamie Eason, the extremely popular and talented fitness model and author. Jamie’s personality and the way she deals with people are a couple of reasons for her continued success. She treats each personv the way you would want someone for whom you have waited in line for a long time. Always cordial, always taking that extra moment with a fan to make him/her have a memory for a lifetime.
Jamie surely has an engaging personality. She also is an engaged one. Here is video of Jamie (there would have been several more videos today, had it not been for the snow delay, which resulted in this creative process (OK, at this hour it barely qualifies as typing) not being finished until close to 5 a.m. Considerably later than I prefer to be up doing such things. Rest assured, there will be more videos from the Arnold later in the week.
